Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how WRITING MASTER EDUCATION INC. and Academic Integrity Report, and their affiliated companies (we’ll use “A.I.R.”, “we”, or “us” for short) collect, store, process, transfer, share and use data that identifies or is associated with you (in this policy we call this stuff "Personal Information") whether this Personal Information is collected directly from you during a direct interaction with us, such as in the submission form or the interviews you participate, and, any indirect collection of information, such as your interactions with our website academicintegrityreport.com and its related websites and subdomains (we’ll call it the “Website” to keep it simple) or any applications we may offer (any apps we offer, along with the Website, we’ll call our “Internet Services”).

A. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY PROTECTION

Our Internet Services do not target and are not intended to be used for children under the age of 12 (1) without the careful and close supervision of parents or guardians, and (2) unless such child is participating in our Internet Services as part of an application to, or in response to the request of, an educational institution.

B. AWARENESS

A.I.R. provides this page to keep you informed of our Privacy Policy practices and of the choices you may make about the way your personal information is collected and used. A link to this policy is included at the bottom of our homepage.

C. HOW WE COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION

1. We collect Personal Information about you when you voluntarily submit information directly to us. This can include information you provide to us when you complete a form, purchase our Internet Services, correspond with us, subscribe to our mailing lists, newsletters or other forms of marketing communications, respond to a survey, enter a promotion or use some other feature of our Internet Service or when contacting us by telephone or email, interacting with us at a conference, or when supplying information to an admission officer.

2. We also collect Personal Information from you indirectly such as information about the pages you look at or the device you use to access our Internet Services.

We also combine the Personal Information you give us with information we obtain from third parties, such as admission officers, high school counselors or other employees, conference organizers, or webinar partners.

Here’s a list of the categories of Personal Information we collect about you: name, date of birth, contact information, citizenship status, writing samples, recorded interviews and other videos of you, comments/feedback, payment information, login credentials, IP addresses, location/browser information, social media information, information about your current educational institution and/or the institution to which you would like to send materials that you upload and create using our Internet Services.

3. At various places on our Website you may be requested to enter certain Personal Information. Personal Information that must be provided in order to use the requested services will be indicated at the time of collection. Other Personal Information that you are not required to provide in order to receive our services may be voluntarily given and you are free to decide not to give such Personal Information.

4. We may anonymize and aggregate any of the information we collect (so that it does not directly identify you) for purposes that include testing our IT systems, research, data analysis, improving our Website and developing new products and features.

D. COOKIES

We also collect information about you and your use of the Website through the use of “cookies.” Cookies are small data files that websites or apps write to your hard drive or in-device memory when you visit them to assign a unique identification in order to “track” your visit to the Website. A.I.R. uses this information to allow you to access our Internet Services without delay, and to generally improve the experience on our web pages.

For countries and areas of the world where it is allowed by default, we sometimes use cookies provided by Google Analytics to provide us with information about users and how you use our Website.

Please note that operators of linked sites (like colleges and universities) may also use cookies if you select links to their sites. A.I.R. cannot control the use of cookies or the management of information gathered by these entities. Please be aware that when clicking on one of these links, you are being transferred to another website that may have privacy policies that are different from ours.

E. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share your Personal Information with the following parties:

Internet Service Providers and Payment Processing Companies: Your Personal Information is included on “cloud” servers where we store our information. Such servers are located in countries all over the world. We also collect your information in connection with processing of payments and as a result, payment processing companies also receive your personal information.

Purchasers of Our Business: If another company were to purchase us, they would receive your Personal Information as part of our business. This Privacy Policy would still be valid, however, unless the purchasing company decided to change it.

Admission Officers and/or Individuals at Organizations Who Use Our Site: We provide admission officers (and related individuals at educational institutions) and individuals at companies or other organizations with our users’ Personal Information only when our users instruct us to do so.

Researchers: From time to time, researchers request access to some of our materials that are created as a result of our processes. All researchers who are granted access to our materials have signed nondisclosure agreements with us.

Teachers and Other Employees of the School You Currently Attend: Administrators of the institution that you indicate that you currently attend during our sign-up process may receive notice that you used our A.I.R. check and submitted some writing samples (but they will not receive your reports or video materials without your permission).

Law Enforcement, Regulators and Other Parties for Legal Reasons: Third parties to whom we are under a legal obligation to disclose your Personal Information or to whom we need to disclose your Personal Information to protect our rights, property or safety or to protect the rights, property or safety of others, will also receive our users’ Person Information. We may also disclose Personal Information to third parties to help detect and investigate illegal activities and breaches of any agreement we have with you.

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to anyone else except as set out above. We may provide third parties with anonymous aggregate statistical information and analytics about users of our Website.

F. MARKETING AND ADVERTISING

From time to time we may contact you with information about our products and services. Most marketing messages we send will be by email but occasionally we may also contact you by SMS, mail or phone. If you do not want to receive marketing messages from us, you are always able to do so by directly contacting us through email at contact@academicintegrityreport.com, or by responding to the email or text with “Unsubscribe”. You can also email us and request we remove your name from any distribution lists we have. Alternative contact information is included on the bottom of our Website homepage as well.

G. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

A.I.R. recognizes that your privacy is important to you and therefore we employ technical security measures that endeavor to protect information from outside threats. However, A.I.R. and its service providers do not represent, warrant or guarantee that Personal Information will be protected against loss, misuse or alterations and do not accept any liability for Personal Information submitted to them nor for your or third parties’ use or misuse of Personal Information.

With respect to A.I.R.’s employees, access to your Personal Information is restricted to those employees who require access in order to perform their employment duties. Furthermore, all Company employees are required to abide by this Privacy Policy and are subject to disciplinary action, including dismissal, for breach of its provisions.

H. STORING AND TRANSFERRING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

1. Cookies and Local Storage: We may store information (which may include Personal Information) locally on your device using cookies and other browser and application storage methods.

2. Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your Personal Information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, change, or damage.

3. International Transfers: The Personal Information A.I.R. collects may be transferred to and stored in countries (including the US) outside of the jurisdiction you reside. Some of these jurisdictions offer differing levels of protection in respect of Personal Information and may, in certain instances, be less protective than the jurisdiction you are typically resident in. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your Personal Information is treated securely and in accordance with applicable law and this privacy policy.

4. Your continued use of our Internet Services or direct submission of Personal Information to A.I.R. constitutes your acceptance of our collection and processing of your Personal Information in accordance with this policy.

5. In cases of videos that are submitted as part of our interview process, we will no longer store such videos after five years of it being recorded. If you would like a copy for yourself before it is deleted, please email contact@academicintegrityreport.com. Requests are granted on a case-by-case basis.

I. ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

If you are resident in certain countries, you might have certain rights in relation to your Personal Information, such as: (i) the right to be informed about how your Personal Information is being used; (ii) the right to access the Personal Information we hold about you; and (iii) the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal data we hold about you and to request the blocking or deletion of your Personal Information where the processing does not comply with local data protection laws. J. LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES

The Site may contain links to other Internet websites, including websites that may or may not be owned or operated by us (like the websites of colleges and universities). We have not reviewed all of the websites that are or may be linked to the Site, and we have no control over such sites. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, we are not responsible for the content of such websites, any updates or changes to such sites, or the privacy or other practices of such sites, and the fact that we offer such links does not indicate any approval or endorsement of any material contained on any linked site. We are providing these links to you only as a convenience. Accordingly, we strongly encourage you to become familiar with the terms of use and practices of any linked site. Furthermore, it is up to you to take precautions to ensure that whatever link you select (whether from the Site or other sites) is free of such items as viruses, worms, trojan horses, defects, date bombs, time bombs and other items of a destructive nature.

A.I.R. may change, modify, add, or remove portions of this policy at any time. If we change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you may become aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
